Dual Measure Grants is the term used by ECO4 Accredited Installation Companies for ECO4 Grants which require two products to be installed at the same time, usually a mains gas boiler and insulation.
Dual Measure Grants from the Government's ECO4 Scheme
Dual Measure Grants help to pay for the replacement of a broken mains gas central heating boiler
PLUS AT LEAST ONE OF THE FOLLOWING INSULATION MEASURES:
- Cavity Wall Insulation
- Loft Insulation
- Solid Wall Insulation
- Underfloor Insulation (suspended wooden floors)
- Flat Roof Insulation
- Room in Roof Insulation (attic insulation)
Subject to survey, most Dual Measure Grants cover the full cost of replacing your broken boiler and installing insulation in your home.
The EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) for your home will show which insulation measures are recommended to installed in your home. You can see the EPC for your home HERE if you live in England or Wales and HERE if you live in Scotland.
With Dual Measure Grants from the ECO4 Scheme you can have your broken mains gas boiler replaced AND insulation installed in your home.
What are Dual Measure Grants?
Dual Measure Grants is the term used by ECO Accredited Installation Companies for ECO Grants which require two products to be installed at the same time.
Many properties which have broken boilers also need to be better insulated. There is little point in installing an A rated, energy efficient boiler if a high proportion of the heat generated is lost through the walls, roof and floor.
Consequently, the Government decided to increase the amount of the ECO Grant awarded if householders agree to have both jobs carried out.
At the moment Dual Measure Grants are limited to provide funding to replace broken boilers which run on mains gas. To qualify for Dual Measure Grants you must also have one of the following insulation measures installed:
- Cavity Wall Insulation
- Loft Insulation
- Solid Wall Insulation
- Underfloor Insulation (suspended wooden floors)
- Flat Roof Insulation
- Room in Roof Insulation (attic insulation)
