If your home has never had a central heating system fitted, you may be able to apply for a grant from the ECO Scheme to help pay for mains gas central heating to be installed. There are two ways to qualify:
1. You, or someone who lives permanently with you, receives one of the qualifying benefits to be found at www.affordablewarmthscheme.co.uk/liverpool-central-heating-grants
OR
2. If you do not receive one of the qualifying benefits, under LA FLEX Rules Liverpool City Council or Knowsley Council may recommend that you qualify. This is normally when you have to pay a substantial portion of your income to keep your home warm.
