Liverpool Solar PV Grants are available to help households in the Liverpool City Council area to install solar panels in residential homes. Grants are available to install Solar PV panels.
Liverpool Insulation Grants are available to install loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, external wall insulation and under floor insulation.
Liverpool Double Glazing Grants are available to upgrade single glazed windows and doors to double glazed windows and doors.
Liverpool ASHP Grants are available to install Air Source Heat Pumps.
Liverpool Solar PV Grants are provided by the Sustainable Warmth Fund and are delivered by Liverpool City Council in partnership with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and the Metro Mayor.
Works must be completed by the end of March 2023 so it is important that you apply as soon as possible.

1.Liverpool Solar PV Grants are available for home owners and tenants who rent from private landlords.
2.The Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating for your home must be E, F or G. You can see the EPC rating of your home by clicking HERE. If your home does not have a current EPC we can arrange one free of charge.
3.Your gross household income must be below £30,000 OR you satisfy qualifying criteria for the Government’s ECO4 Scheme (see below). You can also qualify if your income is below the Minimum Income Standard, which you can check HERE.
4.Your home must be within the Liverpool City Council area and you must pay your council tax to Liverpool City Council.
If you are a private tenant you will need your landlord’s permission for any work to be carried out and they will need to make a contribution.

If you are eligible for a heating or insulation grant an appointed contractor will arrange to carry out a survey of your home. This will identify which, if any, of the available heating or insulation measures your home is suitable for.
If eligible measures can be installed and funded by Liverpool Solar PV Grants, your surveyor will agree these with you and liaise with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and the accredited installation company to organise the works.
Home owners
Liverpool Solar PV Grants are available to cover work up to the value of £10,000 for home owners. No contribution towards the cost of the works is required from home owners.
Private Tenants
Liverpool Solar PV Grants are available to cover work up to the value of £5,000 for private tenants but your landlord will need to pay at least a third of the cost.
To qualify for Liverpool Solar PV Grants using ECO4 criteria, either you or someone living permanently with you, must receive at least one of the following State Benefits, Tax Credits or Other Allowances:
- Pension Credit – Guarantee Credit
- Pension Credit – Savings Credit
- Universal Credit
- Child Tax Credit
- Working Tax Credit
- Income Support
- Income-Related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- Income-Based Job Seeker’s Allowance (JSA)
- Child Benefit (subject to maximum household income)
- Housing benefit
